Jeep Overlander

Holland new car dealer buyers are hearing great things about the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

So what’s the truth? Is the new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4×4 really all it’s hyped up to be? Is it more than just a pretty frame with a “new” Pentastar engine (revamped from the former Phoenix)? Or is it something even bigger and better than we could ever imagine? Your Holland new car dealer hopes customers will come in to see the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee as it arrives.

Well, it’s probably somewhere in between, but from what I’ve seen and read it tends more toward the “even bigger and better” end. With a base price of $42,995 for the Overland luxury trim package it needs to have some impressive features. Lesser trims start closer to $30,000. The Powertrain 5.7-liter overhead valve V8 has variable timing and cylinder deactivation; five-speed automatic with a manual shift mode; two-speed transfer case with variable torque split; electronically actuated slip rear differential; and full-time four-wheel drive.

Okay, that’s an impressive list. But how does it handle? How does it ride? Does the technology keep up with my current vehicle? These are all good questions that deserve an answer. Your Jeep Holland MI dealer wants you to have the facts.

Reports from testers indicate it handles smoothly and the Selec-Terrain feature option allows for easy handling on almost any surface. The ride is smooth and the contoured seats and power adjustable driver’s seat more than comfortable. As far as technology goes there are the usual amenities.  The Overland even has amenities like wood trim on the dash, Nappa leather seats, heated front seats and heated steering wheel. But what will attract buyers to this new Jeep Grand Cherokee is its off-road ability.

This is a mountain machine, using technology that only Land Rover currently has in production. The ride is quiet as well, even with 20-inch wheels, and the Grand Cherokee keeps its spot in the mid-size SUV category, not turning into a hulking mass as some full-size SUVs can.  Jeep Holland MI customers will want to ask if they can take it through a local swamp. (Actually, that wouldn’t be a bad test drive course for dealers to offer.) But even if you don’t drive it through the mud before you buy it, there will be plenty of time for off-road fun later.

The wheelbase has been extended 5.3 inches which allows more legroom in the back and larger cargo space at 35.1 cubic feet. It feels much larger and easier than the previous model. Even the doors seem to be larger for easier access. When you visit your Holland new car dealer for a test drive you’ll be able to experience this relaxing interior for yourself.
